Help line wait times
As at 2:00pm (AEDT) on Monday 18 February 2019, average call wait times are:
- General enquiries: less than 1 minute
- Complex enquiries: less than 1 minute
The Help line is available 24 hours, 7 days a week on 1800 723 471 (option 1).
Complex enquiries include:
- help to cancel a record
- assistance to manage your My Health Record
Please have your Medicare card, or Department of Veteran’s Affairs (DVA) card with you.
If the Help line is busy and you do not wish to wait in the queue, please call back at another time.
Creation of new records
Between 16 July 2018 and 31 January 2019, Australians had the opportunity to decide if they wanted a My Health Record and to opt out if they didn’t want one.
Records will be created within 30 days for every eligible Australian who wants one. Once created, you’ll be able to log in to your My Health Record through your myGov account and start managing your information and preferences. Learn more about the creation of records.
