Contact from the Australian Digital Health Agency
The Australian Digital Health Agency, in its capacity as the System Operator for My Health Record does not make unsolicited email, SMS or telephone contact with members of the public to ask for sensitive personal information, request visits to webpage links or to provide login details to verify their My Health Record.
An authorised representative of the System Operator may contact members of the public in limited circumstances, for instance:
- When an individual has initiated contact with the My Heath Record Help line and a call-back is required to resolve a specific issue.
- When a user has chosen to be notified by SMS or email if their My Health Record has been accessed.
- In the unlikely event the System Operator needs to manage or resolve an issue relating to the system.
The authorised representative of the System Operator will always complete an evidence of identity verification process before the matter can be discussed.
If you are concerned that you have been contacted fraudulently in relation to your My Health Record by SMS or email, you should immediately report the message and any suspicious phone calls to the My Health Record System Operator on 1800 723 471 for investigation. Scams can also be reported to the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission via the Scamwatch report a scam page.
