Electronic prescriptions provide an option for patients to have a digital prescription as an alternative to a paper prescription.
This session is designed to discuss pharmacy staff’s role in supporting the community during this time of change and as further functionality of electronic prescriptions is released. The Australian Digital Health Agency will provide an update on progress made to date and the plans for release of ASL to the market.
The session will outline the consumer journey with or without ASL with a focus on the guiding principles and key functionality. Pharmacy staff will play a key role in the registration process for patients who would like to use an ASL to assist them with prescription management and the session will introduce the steps involved. This will provide you with the tools to ensure both your patients and pharmacy are ready for electronic prescriptions.
