With foundations in Medical Imaging, Jayne has actively pursued a career in Health Informatics. She has gained valuable experience from the roles held in both the Private and Public sectors, with particular experience in systems implementation projects, systems remediation and software development projects. With an increasing demand to improve quality and efficiency across healthcare reform, she is a strong believer in balancing clinical and technical skills to maximise current health technologies in acute healthcare settings. She does not believe in innovation for innovation's sake, rather innovative solutions to issues that will ensure patients will receive high quality care throughout their clinical pathway. Jayne currently works for a Not For Profit Healthcare Provider, overseeing a team of application and integration specialists providing Informatics solutions for Medical Imaging, Pathology and Pharmacy services. She also holds an active leadership role in HISA’s Clinical Informatics Community of Practice.

Mr Donal Byrne

Donal is a respected health professional with over 30 years of experience as a registered nurse. He has worked with global health funds across the UK, Australia and New Zealand in areas of mental health case management, hospital contracting, chronic disease management, hospital substitute care and primary care engagement. Donal works in population health in Australia and New Zealand, focusing on integrated care, discharge support and care coordination for nib’s members with high medical needs with the aim of keeping them well and out of hospital.

He is also working on a new indigenous health plan with a Maori tribe who has invested in private health insurance for their members with nib New Zealand.  He is on the clinical council of Sydney North Primary Health Network. Originally from Ireland, he completed his general nurse training and then specialised in mental healthcare in the UK in the late 1980s.  He completed his MBA at the University of Strathclyde, UK. Donal moved to Australia in 2009 and worked for Healthways as a Leader Care Manager, he then worked for HCF in a provider contracting role and has now been at nib health fund limited for the past 7 years.

Marina Fulcher is a healthcare consultant with extensive experience in healthcare management, gained from working with and managing a wide range of organisations across the healthcare industry.

Marina has worked extensively in a practice management advocacy and advisory capacity on many aspects of the national digital health agenda since 2008. Bringing knowledge and understanding that traverses both management and clinical requirements, her work has included extensive involvement in the development of digital health foundations such as the HI Service and on the ongoing development of the My Health Record. After working with Western Sydney PHN managing the Patient Centred Medical Home and integrated care initiatives, Marina worked with AGPAL on the development of the Health Care Homes education materials.  Her insight into the benefits of this model of care, particularly for patients with chronic and complex healthcare needs and how a connected healthcare system can support improved patient health outcomes, aligns well with her digital health expertise.

Marina is a past AAPM National President, Life Member, Fellow and Certified Practice Manager. She is a knowledgeable trainer and presenter who has also published many articles on Practice Management and digital health.

Ms Juliana Iles-Mann

Juliana has worked in public pathology for 30 years. She has a sound understanding of the business of pathology, both operationally and strategically and its relationship and contribution to the clinical care continuum. She has been responsible for the review, planning, policy development, project management and implementation of projects of strategic importance to pathology. 

Through her role as ICT Director in a major public hospital network pathology service, she has intimate knowledge and experience with the integration of health information and a deep understanding of the importance and potential that interoperability of digital health information can contribute to positive health outcomes for patients and the community at large.

She has been an advocate and have led or been engaged with the implementation of a number of digital strategies including the Electronic Health Record across NSW, quality use of pathology through electronic clinical decision support, the electronic delivery of pathology information to the Primary Care sector, the implementation of a mobile web-based application to support access to pathology results and more recently with the implementation of HealtheNet. She has the added experience of caring for her son who has had a chronic illness for the past 20 years.

Robin Moore is a skilled and high achieving public and private sector leader with over 40 years health experience, 23 of these in Executive and CEO roles. He has been at the forefront of significant strategic health reform in South Australia and Queensland. Robin has led health organisations in every health sector from primary through to tertiary and quaternary. He has managed significant organisational change, hospital amalgamations and significant redevelopment projects. He has worked closely with communities, GP’s, NGO’s, ACCHO’s and private providers developing new integrated partnerships from innovative models of care to new funding models including public/private partnerships to benefit community health priorities.

Milan is an enthusiastic researcher, a health informatician and a health manager. He is currently working as a Clinical Documentation Specialist in Western Sydney Local Health District. He is also doing his PhD at School of IT at the University of Sydney. He is studying IT system implementation and benefits in a hospital setting. Milan’s expertise/interest include the evaluation of IT system implementation, UX, electronic health records, data analytics, organisational efficiency and patient safety using Electronic Clinical Systems.

He worked for more than ten years as a clinician in Westmead Emergency Department. He also has vast experience of research as well as a soundtrack record of publications in reputed international journals and conferences. Milan received Master of Health Management & Master of Public Health from University of New South Wales (UNSW).
