Between 16 July 2018 and 31 January 2019, Australians had the opportunity to decide if they wanted a My Health Record and to opt out if they didn’t want one.
The opt-out period has now ended, and records are in the process of being created.
Creation of new records
Records will be created within 30 days for every eligible Australian who wants one. Once created, you’ll be able to log in to your My Health Record through your myGov account and start managing your information and preferences.
Your healthcare providers will also be able to start uploading and viewing information in your record.
As more people use the My Health Record system, Australia’s national health system will become better connected. The result is safer, faster and more efficient care for you and your family. Learn more about the benefits of My Health Record.
